Massage therapy can be divided into two main categories; therapeutic massage & relaxation massage. All of our massage therapists are trained in both therapeutic and relaxation massage and are members of the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan.

Whether you are receiving therapeutic treatment or relaxation massage, your initial visit will include the completion and review of a confidential patient history form.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Therapeutic massage can be defined as the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal problems using a various array of treatment techniques. The treatment will begin with an assessment of your condition and a treatment plan will be created based upon your specific problem and needs. If your condition involves the deeper musculature, some of the treatment will consist of a deeper, somtimes uncomfortable, application of the massage techniques to reach and help correct problems in that deeper musculature. You may also be shown several stretching techniques to help in your recovery as well, ice or heat or other techniques may be recommended or used to assist in your rehabilitation.

RELAXATION MASSAGE

Relaxation, or Swedish massage, consists mainly of four soothing massage techniques designed to promote muscular relaxation, increased circulation, reduce mental and physical stress, and create a feeling of well-being. You may also be shown some stretching techniques to help in your daily life as well.

TREATMENT FEES

HealthWorks Massage fees are the same for therapeutic and relaxation massage and they include GST:

Initial assessment and treatment - $50.00
(total assessment and treatment time will be about 45 mins)

1/2 hour - $40.00

Including acupuncture - $60.00
(total treatment time will be approximately 30 to 45 mins)

3/4 hour - $50.00

including acupuncture - $70.00
(total treatment time will be approximately 45 mins to an hour)

1 hour - $60.00

including acupuncture - $80.00
(total treatment time will be approximately an hour to 75 mins)

For your initial massage treatment at HealthWorks, you will be here for approximately 3/4's of an hour to ensure that you will still receive adequate treatment time after your assessment, .

GIFT CERTIFICATES

HealthWorks has massage therapy gift certifiacates available for 1/2 hour, 3/4 hour and one hour treatments.
