Karen is a graduate from the University of Saskatchewan, obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy in 1992. Karen began her career immediately after graduation with the Regina Health District as a physiotherapist working at the Plains Hospital and Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. She has vast experience in orthopedics, neuromuscular, sports and respiratory therapy. In 1998, she began work in private practice and continues to provide treatment in that environment. Karen transferred her practice to HealthWorks in 2004 where she continues to provide physiotherapy and acupuncture treatment to all age groups.
Karen obtained her acupuncture training through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and has provided this service to her patients since 2000.
In addition to acupuncture, Karen is continually upgrading her education with post-graduate courses to specialize in orthopedic and neuromuscular injuries.
Karen has a special interest in sports therapy and volunteers her services to local sporting events. She was a medical volunteer at the 2005 Canada Summer Games & 2005 Standing Disabled World Volleyball Championships.
